William was born and raised in Iran, spent 20 years in the United States, and moved to Vancouver in 1983. He has been a Dental Laboratory owner since 1971, and now has his business, Anvarda Dental Services, on the North Shore.

William is an active member of Lynn Valley Full Gospel Church and serves on its Board. He also enjoys boating and fishing in Deep Cove, where he lives with his wife, Anya, and two children.
