Who We Are

Our Mission

“Extending a hand up, not a hand out.” Our motto directs us to extend a hand to lift people up rather than simply dispensing a hand-out.

Our mission is: “To help people who are experiencing challenging life circumstances by providing physical, emotional and spiritual support that empowers them to take positive steps in their lives.” Harvest Project helps individuals and families overcome difficult life circumstances so that each one can participate more fully within the North Shore community.

We provide a holistic support network that addresses the needs of vulnerable children and adults. Helping to restore our neighbours to health and stability benefits our whole community.

Core Values -

DIGNITY – We seek to uphold the value of each individual in our personal interactions and provision of services.

COMPASSION – We seek to understand the experiences of our clients and to walk beside them as they journey through difficult times.

RESPECT – We uphold the intrinsic worth of each individual through our words and actions. We respect the rights of others to hold values, attitudes and opinions that may differ from our own.

ACCOUNTABILITY – We expect our clients to pursue their goals and to communicate honestly. We do not hesitate to hold our clients accountable for their words and actions.

HOPE – We believe that our clients can become the people God created them to be. We encourage our clients to seek out and embrace opportunities that will lead to growth and positive change.

As an organization, we aspire to the Christian principles of solidarity with the poor, compassion, integrity, and empowerment. We seek to bring transformative changes in our community.
